Considering design, budget, schedule and other requirements: We are happy to advise you on which battery chemistry best suits your project. We have experience in all areas of primary (disposable) and secondary (rechargeable) batteries. Using our CAD software, we can create a visual representation of your battery based on your specifications if required.

One-off prototypes or small series can be quickly made to evaluate the packs in a real environment. We use the latest 3D printing technology to develop jigs to ensure requirements are met during production. 

The production schedule offers flexible production scales that adapt to your project schedule. It can include both short-term and long-term orders and call-off orders.

UN transport test 38.3 for lithium batteries and accumulators manufactured by us

We test and certify your type of lithium cell or battery according to the UN manual “Tests & Criteria, Part III, Section 38.3”. Successful testing is a worldwide requirement so that your battery pack/battery can be transported by road, rail, sea and air. A test certificate according to UN 38.3 is therefore required for the transport of lithium batteries and battery packs. We can implement the necessary tests for you.

The following tests and simulations are necessary for this:

Altitude Simulation

The negative pressure prevailing during air transport in the vacuum cabinet is simulated here. 

Thermal Test

Battery Packs are exposed to temperatures from -40°C to +75°C for several days in the climatic chamber.

Vibration and Shock Test

The vibration generator, also known as the “shaker”, generates various vibrations and shock loads that can occur during any transport.

Short circuit and overcharge test

External short circuits and overcharging are simulated in the battery packs in special test devices. Finally, the test specimens are stored under surveillance for seven days.

RoHS – Restriction Of Hazardous Substances

According to EU guidelines, no toxic or poorly degradable substances such as heavy metals may be used in electrical and electronic devices and components. 

We consistently implement this policy. The composition of various materials is analyzed at the RoHS test station with the aid of an X-ray spectrometer. In this way, hazardous substances can be identified quickly and easily and, if necessary, eliminated.

EMC – Electromagnetic Compatibility

Electromagnetic compatibility means the ability of electrical and electronic devices to function satisfactorily under external electromagnetic interference (interference immunity) without causing electromagnetic interference for other devices themselves (interference emission). Special test and measurement methods ensure that all devices comply with the applicable guidelines and laws.

In Circuit

During the in-circuit test, battery packs and the associated protective circuit (IS Protection Board) are checked fully automatically for faults in the conductor path (short circuits or interruptions), soldering faults and component faults.
